I have a couple of “tear” books that I have kept over the years. They are pages torn out of magazines that inspire me: I like the model’s outfit, the pose, the lighting, etc. It was funny because there was an Irving Penn shoot from back in 1992 that had bodycage (body cage) like designs from Gianni Versace. I tore those pages out and have kept them from way back then because even then, I was drawn to the style! Wow…just way too funny. Anyways, here are the photos that have inspired me! Enjoy!

I’m now in the middle of the Valentine’s Day “rush”. People buying gifts for the special ladies in their lives. I have been thinking about a deadline for orders but I think I’m going to wing it. I’ll keep you posted as I get closer to it.
I’ve also had to put a couple of other “fun” projects on the side burner for now. I’ll get back to them after I get my Valentine orders filled. Smooth sailing after I get past this second busy holiday season. ‘Tis the season for LOVE!

I’m hoping to do a really dark and artsy/edgy pole photoshoot with my bodycages (body cages). I’m hoping the model will have excellent pole skills and will be very toned. I want the images to be very angular and not necessarily that the model will be recognizable (ie. hair hanging and flowing). Toes pointed.
So, nothing is set up yet. Just getting a feel to see if anyone is interested in doing it. We can negotiate details if anyone is interested. Of course, I’ll need a photographer too. Suggestions? Lighting equipment is necessary for what I’m envisioning.

So, the new year started off in the fabric store. That’s right! LOL One of the fabric stores was open on New Year’s Day for a big sale. I ended up spending about 4 hours in there!!! I bought tons of stuff but I’m especially excited about my new scissors. I’m easy to please, LOL. Hopefully it will cut down on my hand fatigue.
Besides that, I’ve been rather busy already in 2011. I’ve been working at my “regular” job tons over the holidays and it hasn’t slowed down a bit yet. I’m hoping to get focused and do up some lingering projects later this week including hemming all of the pants that our family got for Christmas. Hemming is easy but I just have troubles getting excited about sitting down to do it. I have one pair of my own pants that have been sitting there since August! Oooops! I do have an excuse though–I had to find the right color thread and didn’t find it until New Year’s Day (only because I remembered to take them WITH me to match up). Bonus was, it was on sale too!

I am gearing up to do some sewing between Christmas and New Year’s. I have a couple of orders that just came in. If anyone else is interested in ordering something, send me an email and I’ll do them all up at once and ship them off ASAP. My sewing table has become my wrapping table but I’ll clear if off just for you guys.

So…the deadline for guaranteed orders for Christmas has now passed. I have two bodycages and 2 cat beds to finish up and I should have them done by Friday. I’ll still take orders but I can’t guarantee that they will arrive by Christmas. Thank you to all who made purchases and supported your local designer! YEAH for you! I still have a bit more Christmas shopping to do, a fair amount of baking I’d like to get done, and a few Christmas presents to wrap still. Christmas is a lot of work! I can’t wait to sit back and truly enjoy the holiday spirit and festivities.
